Celebrating Success

Success is success, no matter how big or small.

Yesterday I managed to cook my kids fettuccine alfredo for lunch and cooked the family grilled chicken breast and mashed potatoes for dinner.  I didn't lick the serving spoon at either meal.  I stuck to my plan.

That's a success in my book.

The plan for me was to eat 5 meals yesterday.  Each consisting of 5 oz of protein and about 1/2 cup of vegetables.  Healthy fat added to 4 of those meals.  It was A LOT of food.  I was still full after 3 hours.  I actually was only able to eat 4 of the 5, and the third one was forced.  As if I was eating for a food competition.

I talked to my trainer (yes, I got a trainer) and she told me I can stick to 4 meals for now, but I really need to try and bump it up to the 5.  So I will.  Oh and I drank well over a gallon of water!  :)

I also managed to get my workouts in yesterday and it felt great to go hit the pavement last night.

It's good to be back.

Remember tomorrow... big announcement!

What are some of your successes?

  1. Woo Hoo! That's awesome!! My success is making it in to work today, when I so badly wanted to call in and crawl back in my bed! It's not a big one, but I'll take it. Haha

  2. Getting my long run in on Sunday, despite it being 22 degrees and windy. The last 2 miles home were straight into the wind, and I swear I'm still cold. Come on Spring!!!!

  3. Today I realized that I was getting full during lunch. I'd apparently packed a bit more food than necessary. So I... wait for it... stopped eating! Big success for me!
